Om-ing it Out aka The TEA Behind The Tee part 1

OM JIREH RAPHA NISSI SHALOM
Considered by many philosophers to be a sacred, ancient sound that carries within it the origin of creation, OM (pronounced "aum") is combined here with four of the Old Testament names for God:
- Jireh; meaning He is the God who provides
- Rapha; meaning He is the God who heals
- Nissi; meaning He is the God who makes a way
- Shalom; meaning He is the God who grants us divine peace
Mantras have always been part of my prayer and mediation, not for any special reason. When I was a little girl my mom would "Om" it out every morning during her sunrise meditation. She taught my brother and I to do the same, along with other prayers. I feel that my day goes better when I take time in the morning to just be still and count my blessings.
Between working, momming, wifing, and all of the other "ings" life demands I don't always get the time that I really want to myself in the morning. With this meditative mantra I speak four of the Hebrew names of God along with one of the most ancient, sacred sounds of all creation:
OM JIREH RAPHA NISSI SHALOM
Affirming the He is the God who provides, the God who heals, the God who makes a way, and the God who gives me peace reminds me that I am already equipped with everything I need to handle whatever I might encounter.
Wearing it on a t-shirt brings a piece of my morning mindset into the rest of my day. View the collection
