Undiluted Creation

3 min read

As I walked in the yard this morning, I looked at the grass and the sky and it hit me—I need to be as close to undiluted creation as possible at the start of the day because it helps me recalibrate and remind and affirm to myself that the same God/original creator whose divine intelligence, spirit, and sound created the grass between my toes, the air I breathe, and the sunlight warming my face also created ME.

My body, soul, spirit, heart, and mind carry that divine DNA.

Being in the midst of God's undiluted creation (like the garden), versus being surrounded by the things that man has built/made from God's original materials, activates the undiluted version of me that God conceived and knew before placing me in my mother's womb.

And that is who I need to be today and every day so that I can show up in this world and allow God to fill me with His spirit of power, love, and sound mind, and for that spirit to flow through me freely.

That carries benefits beyond just me and my family. It impacts my community and everything and everyone God has given me a heart for.

When I stand in creation, I can hear it calling me to who and what it needs me to be. When I'm inside, surrounded by walls and noise—the TV, my phone, scrolling—the sound of creation is muted and harder to hear.

Standing on a square foot of my lawn barefoot helps me tap into the vastness of creation. It reinforces the truth that God is bigger than and greater than my troubles. And that He, not me, carries the weight of the world, which is good because He has the power and the plan that can handle the problems we face.

Suddenly, I go from feeling overwhelmed by the day ahead to knowing that I was born, built, and created by the One who has already overcome the troubles of the world, and that He has given me the ability and authority to be His agent and instrument:

· of peace

· of healing

· of transformation

All creation groans and waits for the children of God to show up in the spirit and truth of who we are so that the glory of God can be made manifest, evident, and obvious. Romans 8:19–22
